Because Thursday was our last day of the smart home project in the school, we planed a special free time activity for Friday.
We drove with our busses to the high Tatra. This area was about a 2 hour drive away from our hotel, that’s why we had to get a up a little bit earlier. When we reached the town „Tatranská Lomnica“, we stood in front of the Lomnica Peak. On this mountain is the highest workplace in Slovakia. Around 9:30 we took the first of 3 funiculars to get to the top of the mountain. After around 45 minutes we reached 2634 altitude. We were very lucky that the weather was nice today, because of that we had a great view. After 50 minutes we had to get back down with the same funicular. When everyone was back to our starting point, we drove to a nearby restaurant to have lunch. Afterwards there was another small activity. Right next to the restaurant was a summer toboggan run, which we just had to try. After that we drove back to our hotel.
